DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A fire Wednesday around 5:35 p-m caused an estimated 25 thousand dollars in damage to a home in the 5800 block of Elinor Street in Duluth.
The fire was limited to the bedroom it originated in but smoke damage has temporarily displaced the family of three and their pets.
The two people and a cat who were home at the time of the fire were alerted by a smoke alarm and got out of the house safely.
Firefighters were able to rescue a pet snake from the room where the fire started.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is being investigated by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s Office.
The Red Cross is assisting the family with needed resources.
